From the back cover:

In ACADEMIC Lite: Treasures of Creativity and Reflection from Life As a University Professor, Neville Clouten, Ph.D. relates some of his experiences as a professor and college administrator.

From Europe to North America to Australia, his adventures engage the reader in creative learning and philosophical thought. Aa visit to the London Zoo yields a most unusual exhibit.  A field trip to New York City provides architectural inspiration in an unlikely place.  The comical adventures associated with traveling to an archeological site in the Australian outback contrast with the awe and amazement evoked by the ancient art there.

ACADEMIC Lite shows us the "lite" side of education.  Dr. Clouten teaches us that learning does not have to be dull and dry.  It can be fun and unexpected.

NEVILLE CLOUTEN, Ph.D. worked as a guide and reseearcher for the Sydenty Opera House in Australlia, and as an architect in Stockholm, Sweden, before his thirty-five-year career as a college professor and dean.. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Sydney, a master's degree from the Ohio State University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Edunburgh in Scotland.  A recently retired resident of Michigan, he enjoys watercolor painting and traveling.
